Diploma in Computer Science & Technology is a 3 Years and 2 years Diploma Engineering Course. After passing 10th and 12th standard, students are eligible to pursue this program. Computer Science & Technology is a discipline that focuses on the study and development of computer software and hardware. Computer Science & Technology is one of the most valuable branches of Engineering. Generally, Computer Science refers to design and develop computer and computer programs. Information Technology on the other hand, refers to maintain and troubleshoot those computers and their networks, systems and database to ensure theirs smoothly run. It can be said to be an integrated discipline, consisting of elements of electrical engineering, computer science and electronics engineering. Some of the important topics covered in this branch of engineering include programming language like C,C++,Java, Advanced Java, Python, microprocessors, software development and testing, circuit design, hardware and networking. Computer Engineers can be said to have knowledge of the above mentioned topics. With specialization course, they may even become experts at certain topics. Main tasks of computer engineers include designing, planning, software developing, testing and supervision of computer systems- both hardware and software. Technology is developing at such a rapid pace that the field of Computer Engineering is going through many changes. A Computer Engineer must keep himself/herself up to date with such developments. So, working in a computer science based job might mean you will create software, design websites or gather information on visitors to a website. A career in IT means you will make sure computers are functional and secure. This branch is like a golden boon to this modern era.

FOR JEXPO ADMISSION (3 YEARS) FOR VOCLET ADMISSION (2 YEARS)
10TH Pass Certificate, 10TH Pass Admit Card, 10TH Pass Result, ID Proof, Passport Size Photo and Other Details of Candidate.

10+2 Pass (Vocational or with a Science Score of at least 60% or 2 years ITI) Mark sheet,   Certificate,  Admit Card, ID Proof, Passport Size Photo and Other documents.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

  • Through Counselling – 1st Year

The Student should be qualified for the JEXPO Exam. In each discipline, students will be admitted through counseling conducted by the West Bengal State Council of Technical and Vocational Education and Skill Development.

  • Management Quota

The applicant should pass Madhyamik or its Equivalent Examination in aggregate or any Rank in JEXPO Exam.

  • 30% seats will be kept reserved for the district candidates based on JEXPO rank. Out of those 50% seats will be reserved for female candidates.
    Additional 20% of total seat is admitted through lateral entry (VOCLET) in 2nd Year.
    Conducted by – West Bengal State Council of Technical Education, Kolkata Karigori Bhavan (2nd Floor), 110, S.N. Banerjee Road, Kolkata: – 700 013.
  •  Applicants who have passed Higher secondary (10+2) Vocational Education Course with science from West Bengal State Council of Vocational Education & Training with appropriate specialization or passed X+(2 years ITI) with appropriate specialization are eligible for application. Candidates who have passed out ITI with NCVT certificate are also be eligible.
